- Mental Health America is excited to announce that has opened its free MHA Counseling Center at 3701 Latrobe Drive, Suite 140, Charlotte, NC 28211. The Center offers no-cost counseling (a $10 administration fee is charged) for uninsured and underinsured individuals in Mecklenburg County. Services are provided by graduate students under the supervision of licensed Clinical Director Megan Bryant. In-person and telehealth options are available between the hours of 9:00-4:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Call 704-565-3315 to set up an appointment at the Counseling Center.

The fair is open to high school juniors and seniors who attend Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and wish to pursue postsecondary education. Approximately 100 colleges and universities are expected to participate. East Meck is able to take 100 students. Permission forms are available for pick up in the Student Services department, and are due with parent signature on Tuesday, Oct. 11. See Mrs. Miller, School Counselor, if you have any questions.

Students will receive an invite from participating businesses if there is a career interest match. This survey is intended for high school students and parents of middle school students. In engaging with career professionals, young adults gain unique, real-life opportunities to experience varied career choices aiding in a more informed decision about future careers.
